CM inaugurates new women's college in Tiruppur

The Theeran Chinnamalai Arts College for Women was inaugurated at Vanchipalayam in Tiruppur by the Chief Minister, Mr. M. K. Stalin, virtually from Chennai on Wednesday.
In his address, the Chief Minister alleged that though the AIADMK had nine Ministers in its Cabinet from the western region, it did not allocate land for this college. The DMK, on returning to power, removed the ban on land allocation and facilitated the construction of the college. So far, it had opened two colleges for women in the western region, he pointed out.
Earlier, Mr. Stalin flagged off the new luxury Volvo tourist buses of the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation. In their maiden trip, these buses will carry children studying in the special schools run by the Department of Differently Abled Welfare to Mamallapuram.
