CM orders review of online building plan approval fees: Minister at Erode

Housing and Urban Development Minister S Muthuswamy said the Chief Minister has ordered a re-examination of the fees under the online plan approval scheme introduced a few days back all over TN when asked about steep  hike in the approval fees.

 He inaugurated the program of providing free uniforms to school students in Erode Kumarankuttai Govt School. He said: 86 313 students will be given uniform in Erode district. Its value is 6 crores. A lot of water has been released in Cauvery . Security has been strengthened in 41 low-lying riverside areas. Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin will participate in various programs in Erode on August 2 and provide government welfare assistance. 

Now, getting a building plan approval through online is an instant possibility. Earlier, public had to go to many government offices to get building plans. Earlier fee was charged under 4-5 heads. 

At present, all the charges are fixed on a consolidated basis. The Chief Minister has ordered a re-examination of this fee. Rehabilitation work in Lower Bhavani canal is going on as per court orders. Water will be released in the canal on August 15. Cattle Park in Thalivasal area of ​​Salem district is decorated with electric lights at night. The minister concerned will respond as to why it has not been opened yet, he added.
