CM Stalin inaugurates National Urban primary health centre in Tiruvannamalai

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated the National Urban Primary Health Center in Vandavasi Municipality, Tiruvannamalai District, via video conference from the Chennai Chief Secretariat. The centre was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 75 lakh under the National Urban Welfare Project, with the Municipal Administration and Drinking Water Supply Department overseeing the project. The inauguration ceremony included the presentation of an order for the formation of Tiruvannamalai Municipality as a new Corporation, which was handed over to Corporation Board Chairperson Nirmala Karthik Velmaran.
Following the Chief Minister's inauguration, Tiruvannamalai District Collector D Bhaskara Pandian formally opened the health centre to the public. The event was attended by Vandavasi Assembly Members MS Dharanivendan and S Ambedkumar. In his address, the district collector emphasised the importance of the new health centre, highlighting the Tamil Nadu government's commitment to public welfare and healthcare through various initiatives such as Innuyir Kaapom, Idhayam, and Siruneergam Kaapom.
He urged the public to make use of the newly inaugurated facility.
The event also included the distribution of medical benefits to patients and the planting of a sapling at the health centre. Cheyyar Sub-Collector Pallavi Verma, District Health Officer TN Satish Kumar, Vandavasi Municipal Council President Jalal, District Medical Officer MR Anandhan, and other local officials participated in the ceremony.
