CM unveils VOC statue

CM MK Stalin unveiled life size statue of freedom fighter VO Chidambaram at the VOC Ground, Coimbatore, through video conference from the Secretariat on Wednesday. 
The statue was erected by the I & PR Department. The CM announced in the Assembly on 3.9.2021 about the erection of the statue to honour VOC who spent many years in Coimbatore prison. 
After the unveiling function, Coimbatore Collector Krantikumar Pati honoured VOC's grand daughter Maragathameenakshi Raja with a shawl in the presence of Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar, City Police Commissioner V Balakrishnan, Corporation Commissioner M Pratap, Deputy Mayor R Vetriselvan, PRO A Senthil Anna, EE Selvaraj, Assistant EE Ramesh, and many councillors.
