Coimbatore citizens happy about rain water draining facilities

Coimbatore has been experiencing continuous rainfall since last night, and the citizens are pleased to see that the rainwater has not stagnated. In the past, even an hour of heavy rain would flood the bridges, roads, and main streets, causing significant inconvenience to the residents. Areas like Vadakovai, Uppilipalayam, the Kikani school area, and under the Lanka Corner flyovers frequently experienced water stagnation, trapping motorists and creating disruptions.

However, this time things are different. Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran has undertaken swift and effective measures to improve and regularise the rainwater drainage system. As a result, rainwater is no longer stagnating in crucial parts of the city, allowing people to continue with their normal lives without any major interruptions.
