Coimbatore District Collector Krantikumar Badi issued orders for education loans worth Rs.3.99 crore to 74 students at a function held at the Karpagam University, Echanari.
Pollachi MP Mr. K. Easwarasamy, Vice Chancellor of Karpagam University Mr. Venkatajalapathi, RDO (South) Mr. Ramkumar, Senior Advisor (Education) Mr. J. Vanangamudi, District Lead Bank Manager Mr. Jeetendran, Senior Manager of Canara Bank Mr. S. Iswaramurthy, Madhukarai Union Committee Member Mr. Masilamani, and many government officials attended.
In his speech, Collector said economic problem is the biggest obstacle for students to pursue higher education.
A student should not be unable to study due to lack of financial means.
It is for this reason that educational loan camps are being conducted in Coimbatore district for economically backward students to pursue higher education. He has requested the bankers to examine the applications of the students who have applied for education loans and take steps to provide loans quickly.
