Coimbatore collector inspects exam centres in the city

The 12th class board exams commenced today, with 127 examination centres established in Coimbatore, accommodating a total of 33,659 students. To ensure the smooth conduct of the exams, a 300-member flying squad has been deployed for surveillance purposes.

District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati personally visited the Government Higher Secondary School Examination Center located in the Sidhapudur area to oversee the arrangements.

Addressing the media after the inspection, the District Collector provided details regarding the examination setup. He mentioned that the exams are being conducted across 127 centres housed within 363 schools in Coimbatore district. Of the total student count, 15,847 are male and 18,412 are female. Emphasising the importance of stress-free examination conditions, he assured that measures have been put in place to facilitate a conducive environment for students. Additionally, he highlighted that an extra hour has been allotted for differently-abled students to complete their exams comfortably.

The District Collector reaffirmed that all examination centres in Coimbatore district are under continuous monitoring to ensure adherence to regulations and to address any arising issues promptly. He concluded by extending his best wishes to all students undertaking the exams.
