District collector Pavankumar K Giriyappavanar on Wednesday inspected the ongoing works to establish Arignar Anna cooperative industrial estate at Kittampalayam, and ongoing developmental projects at Sulur in the district.
The industrial estate is being constructed at the cost of Rs 24.61 crore in an area of 316.04 acres at Kittampalayam in the district. The first two phases of construction work were completed, and at present, the third phase of work including road laying, construction of overhead tanks, and pipeline laying works are being carried out.
After inspecting the estate, the collector directed the officials to speed up the work. He then inspected Sulur tahsildar’s office and reviewed all the documents. He also inspected 40 shops that are being constructed at the cost of Rs 3 crore in Sulur region.
Cooperative industrial estate’s officer Suganthi, estate manager Chandrasekaran, TIDCO branch manager Shanmugavadivel, town panchayat president Devi Mannavan, vice president Solai Ganesh, Karumathampatti municipal commissioner Bharathi, assistant director (town panchayat) Manoranjitham, sulur tahsildar Saranya, executive secretary Saravanan and other officials were present during the inspection.
