Coimbatore Collector receives petitions from people in the North Zone

Coimbatore Collector Kranti Kumar Pati visited several areas in the North Zone on September 18 as part of the Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril scheme, inspecting ongoing development projects and addressing public concerns. During his visit, the Collector received petitions from local residents and handed them over to the respective departments, instructing officers to respond promptly to these grievances.

Speaking to the public, the Collector highlighted that the initiative, introduced by the Chief Minister, had covered inspections in various regions such as Mettupalayam, Anaimalai, Madukkarai, Sulur, and Kinathukadavu. He emphasised the importance of conducting surveys of buildings, particularly schools and government structures, to check for any damage and ensure they are ready before the rainy season. Additionally, he stressed the need for swift action in addressing issues related to ration shops, Anganwadi centres, schools, and health facilities, ensuring no disruptions in drinking water supply for the people.

Several key officials, including District Superintendent of Police Karthikeyan, Mayor Ranganayaki, Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran, District Revenue Officer Sharmila, Additional Collector Swetha Suman, Deputy Mayor Vetrichelvan, and Assistant Collector (Training) Angad Kumar Jain, participated in the inspection.
