Coimbatore Corp commissioner inspects projects in south zone

The city corporation commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran on Wednesday inspected the ongoing developmental works in the south zone of the corporation limit and directed concerned officials to speed up the work. As a part of ‘Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril’ scheme, the commissioner inspected the road laying works taking place at Pollachi road, Muthu Nagar and Eechanari in ward 100 of the south zone. He also inspected the Kurichi Kunniyamuthur drinking water and underground drainage projects that were implemented by TWAD at the cost of Rs 591.14 crore in Podhanur in the south zone. He directed officials to speed up the work.
Assistant commissioner Kumaran, TWAD administrative engineer Muthusamy, assistant administrative engineers Geetha Devi and Manjula, corporation’s assistant executive engineer Kanagaraj, ruling party head Karthikeyan, councilors Aslam Basha, and Udhayakumar, ZSO Andiyappan, assistant engineer Padmanaban and others were present during the inspection.
