Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner flags off team sport competitions for school teachers

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran, alongside Deputy Mayor Vetriselvan, inaugurated a series of team sports competitions for school teachers and staff at Kasthuri Ground in RS Puram on July 25. 

Participants were grouped into teams representing the west, east, south, north, and central zones, with teachers, officers, and staff from schools in each zone competing. The events included cricket, carrom, football, badminton, volleyball, throw ball, chess, long jump, and shot put. The competitions were divided into two age categories: under 40 and above 40. Assistant Zonal Commissioners Muthuswamy, Ilangovan, Sandhya, along with Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and other participants, attended the event.
