Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner inspects drinking water supply trial run

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabakaran inspected the trial run of the drinking water supply in the Coimbatore West Zone on July 3. The trial run is being conducted through the Kavundampalayam, Vadavalli, and Veerakeralam scheme under the Pillur III drinking water project.

Coimbatore's South, North, East, West, and Central Zones receive drinking water through various supply schemes. As part of the trial run, the Corporation Commissioner visited several areas, including Kavundampalayam, Sri Devi Nagar, P&T Colony, and Marudanagar. He inspected the overhead tank in Sri Devi Nagar, which stores 3 lakh litres of water, and reviewed the water supply in other areas such as Edayarpalayam, Poompuhar Nagar, Arun Nagar, Lakshmi Nagar, Amman Kovil Street, and the VNR region.

West Zone President Deyvayanai Tamilmarai, Head of Education Committee Malathi Nagaraj, and other government officers were present during the inspection.
