Coimbatore corporation commissioner M Pratap kick-started the works to plant about 1,500 saplings along with volunteers at Vilankurichi in the city. Deputy commissioner Sharmila, executive engineer Sundarrajan, ZSO Paramasivam, assistant engineer Muthukumar, sanitary inspector Jerald Sathyapunithan and others were present at the event.
