Coimbatore Corporation Council meeting on April 11

Out of the 100 wards of Coimbatore Corporation, the DMK coalition has won 96 wards, ADMK won three wards and SDPI won one ward. Kalpana Anandakumar of DMK was elected as Mayor and Vetriselvan the Deputy Mayor. Likewise, Zonal Heads and Financial Committee Heads were also elected unanimously. 

Earlier, the budget session of the corporation was held in the last week of March after the new mayor and deputy mayor took charge. In this context, Corporation Commissioner Rajagopal Sunkara said that the Corporation’s first Council meeting has been scheduled to take place at 10 am on April 11 in the Victoria Hall of Corporation Office premises.  Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar will be chairing the council meeting.
