Coimbatore Vizha Bridge Tournament

The timeless card game of contract bridge made a resounding comeback to Coimbatore, with the Coimbatore Cosmopolitan Club proudly hosting the 8th Annual Coimbatore Vizha Bridge Tournament. 
This event, a key highlight of the Coimbatore Vizha celebrations, has once again reaffirmed the city's dedication to preserving and promoting its bridge-playing legacy.
The tournament was inaugurated by veteran bridge player A.V. Varadharajan, who fondly recalled the city's golden era. “Today marks a turning point, as younger players—some as young as 40—are joining the fold, breathing new life into this intellectually stimulating game,” 
he shared.
Mr. Prasanna Krishna, the tournament’s organizer and an ardent bridge player, emphasized the game’s enduring value. 
The tournament served as a platform to showcase exceptional strategy and skill, while also underlining the Coimbatore Cosmopolitan Club’s ongoing efforts to revitalize the city’s rich bridge heritage.
