Collector inaugurates video vehicle

In order to create awareness among the voters in the Nilgiris district, short films on election awareness were screened through the state-of-the-art electronic video advertising vehicle of the Information and Public Relations department in the presence of District Election Officer and District Collector Mrs. M. Aruna. She flagged off the vehicle in the Utagai Government Botanical Garden.

Awareness programs are being held throughout the district to emphasize that the voters should vote fairly and honestly without any expectations in the parliamentary general elections. In that way, the Election Commission of India has provided various measures to create awareness among the voters. Awareness short films were screened today through the state-of-the-art electronic video advertisement vehicle.

Additional Collector (Development) Mr. Kaushik, Director Women Program Mr. Kasinathan,  Associate Director Horticulture Department Ms. Shibila Marye, Information Public Relations Officer Mr. Syed Mohammad, District Social Welfare Officer Ms. Praveena Devi, District Child Protection Officer (P) Ms. Shobana and many attended the function.
