Collector inspects mock drill of fire service dept

 On the occasion of International Disaster Reduction Day on Oct 13, Collector Dr. G.S.Sameeran inspected a mock drill of the Fire and Rescue Services Department at Coimbatore.Corporation Commissioner Mr. MU Pratap, District Revenue Officer P. S. Leela Alex, PA  to Collector (General) Kokila, RDO  (South) Ilango, Special Tahsildar (Disaster Management) Radhakrishnan, District Fire Officer P. Annadurai, Assistant District Fire Officers P. Azhagarswamy, K. Murugan, and fire department personnel, Kongu Nadu College of Arts and Science NSS students participated. 

To prevent disasters from occurring during the rainy season and to create awareness among the public, the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, the District Fire and Rescue Services Department have conducted mock drill to demonstrate on how to rescue victims during natural calamity, foods, fire mishaps, gas cylinder leakage, electric short circuits in the houses, share emergency information, prevent property damage and loss of life, and how to rescue the injured.  After that, 200 fire extinguishers were distributed to government noonmeal  centers on behalf of CREDAI chief Mr. Kugan.
