The Nilgiris Collector M Aruna received 170 petitions from the public at the Monday grievance redressal day function held at the Collectorate. She directed the officials to take action on the petitions seeking various government benefits speedily. She asked officials to provide timely assistance to the beneficiaries under the government welfare scheme, give priority to the petitions for basic facilities and take immediate action on the petitions received under the Chief Minister's Address Scheme. On behalf of the District Lead Bank, she handed over a cheque for a sum of Rs.1.25 lakh to Utagai Municipal Commissioner to buy books for intellectual centre. On behalf of the Ex-Servicemen Welfare Department, she presented silver medals to the Nilgiris District Revenue Officer Keerthy Priyadarsini and Assistant Director (Municipalities) Ibrahimsha for achieving 100 percent Flag Day collection.
