Cong celebrates restoration of Erode-Trichy Passenger Train Service

Erode District Congress Minority Wing distributed sweets to passengers at Erode railway station as a mark of celebrating restoration of Erode-Trichy passenger train service after 2 and a half years gap.
 

It was suspended due to corona pandemic.  Many pleas were made by the wing president J Suresh, vice presidents KN Batcha and MM Harshad to the Union Railway 
Minister and Railway Officials regarding restoration 
of the passenger train service from Erode to 
Trichy for the benefit of poor commuters as the fare was much less in the train compared to bus fare. 
 

Following this,  train service was commenced at 8 am on 9.7.2022. Today, as part of the inauguration ceremony, the train engine was garlanded by the Congress cadres and sweets were distributed to the passengers.
 

Many party functionaries including C. Marimuthu, D. Thiruselvam, V K. Senthil Raja, Arvindraj,  Kanagaraj, A.  Anbazhagan, Bhaskar Raj,  S. Muhammad Yusuf, CM Rajendran,  Kuppanna Sanduru,  KJ Tito, Sathish, Shanmugam, R Krishnaveni, and Baby  attended the function.
