Congress stages demo against ED inquiry

Congress cadres staged a massive demonstration near Jawan Bhavan Erode on Friday in protest  against the enforcement directorate's action against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.Heading the stir,  Erode East MLA Thirumagan Evara said that nearly 10 years back itself the directorate asserted that there was nothing in the case and so far even chargesheet was not filed.  Now, Rahul Gandhi alone highlighted various omissions and commissions of Modi government strongly.  

So,  to gag  his mouth, the Centre used the directorate to harass him for many hours in the name of inquiry. But, the inquiry was nothing but exchanging some general  views by officials. By this way, the Centre wanted to create fear among Congress men. But Rahul Gandhi would not relent to highlight the shortfalls of Modi rule. 

The nation witnessed many stirs including the new recruitment scheme in army,  BJP functionaries insinuating remarks  against Prophet Muhammad Nabi, demolishing the houses of Muslims in UP by using bulldozers, growing unemployment problem, rise in prices of essential commodities etc.  

Even small nations in ASEAN and Arab nations condemned the Indian government for the speech against Nabi and the government expressed apology for it and sent vice president Venkaiah Naidu to convince Arab nations. 

To divert the attention of the people on the burning issues , Modi rule used  the directorate to hold enquiry with Rahul Gandhi, he alleged. Congress functionaries 
RM Palanisamy, Dr Makkalrajan, MM Harshad, KN Basha,  Javahar Ali, Rajesh Rajappa, and many others attended the stir.
