Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister Dr. Govi Chezhian participated and awarded degrees to students at the convocation of Kalaignar Karunanidhi Government Arts College in Tiruvannamalai on Thursday.
Speaking at the event, the minister said, “It is heartening to see Tamil Nadu leading in higher education. Over the past 60 years, this college has grown remarkably.
Schemes like Naan Mudhalvan and Pudhumai Penn are benefiting thousands of students from this college, empowering them with skills and opportunities.
He noted that 3,580 female students from this colleged have emerged as first-generation graduates due to the state’s educational initiatives.
The degree you received today is the first step toward success, transforming you into distinct societal representatives.
