The indefinite strike of TN state all coop bank employees federation entered 2nd day on Tuesday causing hardship to people to buy goods in ration shops and crop loan in the banks.
The State General Secretary Kamaraj Pandian said that the Union members started an indefinite strike from Monday to press several demands in all banks and ration shops across the state. Stop imposing fines on Fair Price Co-op workers, stop sending more goods to ration shops and fix targets for sales and postings of ration staff within their blicks etc were major demands of the union. The protest is being held to draw the attention of the Chief Minister on the demands. About 20,000 employees participated in the stir, said the union's district president SM Mesappan and secretary K Marimuthu.
