Corpn workers strike continues

AIADMK Maanagar district secretary and former minister KV Ramalingam expressed his solidarity with the agitating workers of Erode Corporation by speaking in their midst. 

More than 1800 contract workers, working in public health, engineering and electrical sections in Erode Corporation, have been protesting against the GO to outsource the work through private firms from Oct 31 and many workers staged dharna within the corporation office for the 4th day in succession on Thursday with cooking and eating food in the venue itself.  

Later, Housing Minister S Muthusamy also spoke among them with assuring to take up their demands to the government. Due to the strike of conservancy workers, garbage piled up in many areas of the town.
