Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran inspected several development projects in Kavundampalayam, West Zone, on September 18 as part of the ‘Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril’ scheme. The inspection focused on various infrastructure improvements aimed at enhancing the quality of life in the region.
The Commissioner visited the Ramukutti layout in ward number 33, where he reviewed the ongoing road enhancement project.
Additionally, he inspected the rainwater drainage canal project in TVS Nagar, which is being constructed to prevent waterlogging during heavy rains.
The Commissioner also assessed the progress of the ongoing construction work at the Corporation Urban Primary Health Care Centre in the area, ensuring that healthcare services will be improved once the project is completed.
He encouraged students in Kavundampalayam to participate in the ‘Uyarvukku Padi’ guidance program under the Nan Muthalvan initiative, which was held at Hindusthan Arts and Science College. This program aims to guide students in their academic and career growth.
The inspection was attended by key officials, including West Zone President Deivayanai Tamilmarai, Deputy Commissioner Madhu Abhinaya, Members of the Assembly Krishnamurthi, Subhashree, and Sampath, President of Education Board Malathi Nagaraj, Assistant Executive Engineer Savitha, Assistant Town Planner Gandhimathi, and other government officers.
