Corporation officers seize banned plastic from shops in Tiruppur

Tiruppur Corporation Commissioner Pawankumar G Giriappanavar oversaw 
the seizure of banned plastics from shops on July 9. 
The operation took place in Thennampalayam, Rice Shop Street, and Perumal Kovil Street. 
During the inspection, government officers collected 4,000 kilos of banned plastics, valued at Rs. 5 lakhs. 
Additionally, fines totaling Rs. 1 lakh were imposed on 7 shop owners for using banned plastics. 
Assistant Commissioner R Vinod, Municipality Welfare Officer Gowri Saravanan, and other government officers were present during the inspection.
