Crack down operations bring hope for a Maoist-free India

Maoists are being killed in joint search operations conducted by security forces, paramilitary forces and police.
In the first 3 weeks of this January, at least 2 Maoists have been killed in encounters every day. It has been reported widely that 14 Maoists were killed in an encounter in Chhattisgarh the day before yesterday. It is noteworthy that the government had put a bounty of Rs. 1 crore on the head of one of the leaders of the slain Maoist gang, Jairam.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has vowed to completely eradicate Maoist terrorists by 2026. Following his orders, measures to suppress the Maoists have been intensified.
It is the expectation of everyone that the country will be rid of Maoists at the earliest.
