District Admn, City Police and UYIR holds consultation on UYIR Champions

As part of the Coimbatore Road Safety Model City Project, the Coimbatore District Administration, Coimbatore City Police and the UYIR NGO plan to organize a One Million Road Safety Pledge Taking and Accident-Free Roads Week in the first week of October, 2025. 
This event will witness the participation of 10 lakh public and road users in Coimbatore through a series of road safety events called UYIR Champions.   
In this connections, a consultative meeting was held on Friday, 22-08-2025, at Coimbatore R.S. Puram Corporation Kalaiyarangam Meeing Hall. Dr. S. Rajasekaran, Managing Trustee of UYIR outlined the objectives of the UYIR Champions event.
Coimbatore District Collector, Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar, Coimbatore City Police Commissioner  A. Saravana Sundar and Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner                             Sivaguru Prabakaran participated and highlighted the methods to coordinate and implement these series of events.
