Do not play with workers’ lives

Fireworks plant accidents have been on the rise for the past few years. It is said that the reason for this is complete non-compliance of safety rules in the firecracker factories.
Four people were killed in a firecracker factory explosion near Cuddalore last week. The investigation revealed that the license of this plant had expired. Already in the year 2020, 9 people were killed in a firecracker factory accident at Kurungudi in Kattumannarkoil block of Cuddalore district. 

Fires mishaps in Sivakasi area are frequent.The district administration and the concerned departments should take necessary steps to prevent such firecracker plant accidents in the future.  

A firecracker factory should not be allowed to operate without proper permits. Plant managements must follow the rules diligently.Authorities should inspect the cracker factories without compromise and take action.Do not play with the lives of poor workers!
