The Dravidian Model government is synonymous with social justice; a principle that guides all the state government’s initiatives said Chief Minister M.K Stalin, reaffirming commitment to the ideology.
Launching the Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme in Coimbatore today, M.K Stalin mentioned that even before the launch event, he had already ordered the transfer of Rs. 1,000 to the bank accounts of eligible students under the Tamilpudhalvan scheme. He expressed pride in the numerous initiatives being implemented by the DMK government, but noted that only a few, like the Tamil Pudhalvan scheme, hold a special place in his heart.
He highlighted that Tamil Nadu is a pioneering state in India, with the Dravidian Model government introducing programs that set a benchmark for the entire country.
“The Tamilpudhalvan scheme aims to transform economically disadvantaged students into achievers by supporting their education. It applies to students pursuing degrees in arts, engineering, medicine, and law,” Stalin said assuring that he would personally monitor the progress of students benefiting from this scheme in the coming years.
“Additionally, the government plans to construct a hostel and seminar hall for female students at Coimbatore Government College. No student should be forced to abandon higher education after completing school,” Stalin said encouraging students to take full advantage of programs like Tamil Pudhalvan.
The Chief Minister also touched on other initiatives, such as free bus travel for women and the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam, which aims to empower women across the state. He concluded by expressing his belief that Tamil Nadu will continue to lead the nation and the world, with the Dravidian Model government standing firm in support of students' progress.
Stalin also praised India’s Olympic wrestler Vinesh Phogat for her recent victory, using it as an example to inspire students, stating that success should be their ultimate goal.
