The dream of 15 underprivileged children to fly in an aircraft had come true on Saturday. For, Coimbatore North Round Table 20 along with Coimbatore North Ladies circle 11 and Madras Anchorage round table 100 had
organized a flight trip for the children of SRS Sarvodhaya from Chennai to Coimbatore.
Naming the project ‘flight of fantasy’, the organisers had taken the children on a tour at Gee Dee museum in Coimbatore, lunch at The Residency and then to Isha yoga centre. They were taken back to Chennai via flight. According to news reports, one of the children Yamuna said that she was amazed by the flight experience and enjoyed the bird’s eye view of earth from the plane though she was scared during the take-off.
Dipender Singh of Coimbatore North Round Table 20 said that they wanted to make the dreams of children come true so that they would become adults with visions. City police commissioner V Balakrishnan also met the children and asked them to dream bigger.
