DRO asks traders to follow FSSAI norms strictly

Erode District Revenue Officer Santhoshni Chandra appealed to the 
traders to follow the FSSAI norms strictly at the validity of the three day 
Label Mela jointly organized by the FSSAI and EEDISSIA officials at the EEDISSIA office on Thursday. 
She explained the newly included norms regarding packages and labels in the FSSAI Act.  

Many resource persons spoke on the occasion and helped the traders during the past 
3 days to correct   and   design the labels on packets of food items as per the provisions of Labels Act. 
The EEDISSIA president Thirumurthy, secretary Ramprakash, treasurer Palanivel, vice presidents VT Sridhar and P Kandaswamy attended.
