Coimbatore District Collector Mr. Kranthikumar Padi inaugurated the e-commerce service integration camp for women self-help groups of Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Erode, Karur districts on behalf of the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Movement.
In this camp, Assistant Collector (Training) Mr. Ankit Kumar Jain, Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Additional Director Ms. Kavitha, Assistant Project Officer (Livelihoods) Mr. K. Asokan, District Supply and Marketing Agency Manager Mrs. D. Nithya, and many others were present.
In this camp, District Collector said various products are produced and sold by women self help groups. Also, Home Made products are well received by the public. Opportunities should be created for marketing the products produced by women SHGs.People have started buying more online. E-commerce service linkage camp has already been conducted at zonal level in Trichy and Chennai districts. Currently, the third zone-level e-commerce service linkage camp in Coimbatore district was arranged on Oct 7 and 8. More than a hundred SHGs from Namakkal, Nilgiris, Tirupur and Salem districts will attend the event on Oct 8.This camp is a great opportunity to market SHG products, he hoped.
