Education is key to social progress; Government has embarked on mission to upgrade schools: CM

Tamilnadu Chief Minister M.K Stalin today inaugurated the scheme for re-organizing the school management committees in government schools. He also launched a campaign titled, Our School Our Pride.

Speaking at the inaugural function, the Chief Minister said, education is an asset that cannot be stolen by anyone. “School days are the happiest in one’s life which will not return,he said. Stating that the DMK government gave a lot of importance to education, the Chief Minister said that the Department of School Education has embarked on steps to upgrade government schools.Tamilnadu is in the forefront among all states in India when it comes ensuring quality of education in schools.

Stalin further said that education was the key to social progress and the government’s objective was to provide an environment where joyful learning is ensured in schools.
Parents should also know the interests of the children, he said. They should be the guiding light for the children. Parents should not enforce their dreams on children. The thinking of teachers and students should converge and become similar.

Only then, the teaching-learning process will excel,” he said.  Anbil Mahesh, Minister for School Education said, the state government has understood the fact that education was the ladder for children’s development and has allocated high level of funds for the School Education Department. Let us make this occasion the one in which education will be taken to the next level, said the minister.
