An Education Loan Awareness Campaign was held yesterday at the Tiruvannamalai District Collector's Office under the leadership of District Collector D Bhaskara Pandian. Organised by the District Pioneer Bank, the event aimed to benefit college students by providing information about education loan schemes.
During the camp, students were given detailed explanations about the education loan schemes and the application process, including instructions on how to apply via the Vidyalakshmi portal (www.vidyalakshmi.co.in). The District Collector emphasised the importance of banks ensuring smooth and timely processing of education loans to students without delays.
He also shared that 2,392 students from Tiruvannamalai district have been granted loans totaling ₹53.81 crore through education loans. Bank officials, students, and various government representatives, including District Pioneer Bank Manager Gowri, Project Director (Women Scheme) Saranya Devi, and District Social Welfare Officer Saranya, participated in the campaign.
