Empowering students with job skills and life skills

Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women kickstarted the new academic year on a high note with Deeksharambh.

Deeksharambh is conducted every year for 21 days covering several different aspects.

This academic year 1618 Undergraduates, 529 Postgraduates students were given orientation in the Student Induction Programme held from 24.07.2023. 

The programme was presided over by the Managing Trustee and Chancellor of the Institute Dr. T.S.K. Meenakshisundaram who in his Presidential address congratulated the parents for their wise choice of the institution and the fresher students for the choice of their courses. Dr. Bharathi Harishankar the Vice-Chancellor of the institute congratulated the fresher students and emphasized the need to choose a right career, spending time productively in the campus and at the same time enjoying their campus life. Madam also accentuated the facilities of the institution. Dr.S.Kowsalya, the  Registrar of the institute felicitated the gathering.The parents of fresher students attended as special invitees and also gave their feedback.
