EPS announces stir against Ponmudi on April 16

Condemning DMK Minister Ponmudi for his derogatory remarks against women, AIADMK general secretary EPS announced that party's Women's Wing will stage a massive stir on April 16 near Panagal Palace in Saidapet, Chennai, against him. EPS has also criticized Ponmudi's speech as the height of cruel perversion.
His statement:
In a recent event, DMK government's Forest Minister Ponmudi, with the aim of degrading women who deserve respect and pride, used symbols of the Saiva and Vaishnava religions to denigrate them.
His speech revealed the height of cruel perversity that should never exist in a human mind.
The party that has completely destroyed civilization and introduced and fostered immorality in the political arenas of Tamil Nadu is the DMK. Many speakers of that party have been continuously speaking in a very indecent manner, not only against political leaders, but also against women, religions, and people of various religious beliefs.
In this, Minister Ponmudi has gone to the height of perversity and spoken these despicable comments, which have set fire to the hearts of the people of Tamil Nadu, especially women. I express my strong condemnation for such despicable speech by Ponmudi.
Although DMK has been accustomed to such indecent acts throughout its history, the people of Tamil Nadu will never accept these disgusting and perverted ideas. Especially Ponmudi, who was the Minister of Higher Education. His indecent speech has caused great pain and shock among the public.
A massive protest will be held on behalf of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Women's Team on Wednesday, 16.4.2025 at 10 am near Panagal Mansion, Saidapet, Chennai, to condemn DMK Minister Ponmudi for his vulgar and obscene remarks, which have tarnished the culture, political culture and stage culture of Tamil Nadu; to hurt the minds of women and the minds of the people; and to loudly state that there is no place for such indecent politics in Tamil Nadu.
This protest will be led by the party's women's wing secretary, party spokesperson and former minister, P. Valarmathi, and in the presence of the party's organizing secretary, party spokesperson and former minister, Gokula Indira.
"I request all women, and administrators serving at various levels in the party women's team to participate in this protest in large numbers," he said.
