Erode Collector flags off new mobile veterinary vehicle

Erode Collector Rajagopal Sunkara said that in Erode District, 10,52,285 cattle and 61,87,054 chickens are being treated  through 2 veterinary multi-hospitals, 6 veterinary clinics, 106 veterinary dispensaries and 24 veterinary branch stations.
Also, 8 mobile veterinary vehicles are operating in the district. Through these vehicles 2462 camps have been conducted and 33,221 cattle have been treated.
Recently, the CM inaugurated 200 mobile veterinary vehicles to treat animals in remote villages where access to medical treatment is difficult.
Of 200, one  mobile veterinary vehicle service has been launched to operate in the Nambiyur Taluk. 
The vehicle will be staffed by a veterinary doctor, assistant, and a driver. Through this vehicle, various health measures like animal treatment, deworming, vaccination, castration, sterilization treatments, artificial insemination, clinical examination, disease prevention and cure are carried out for cattle and poultry free of cost.
This medical vehicle will carry out veterinary treatment in designated villages from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm. Also, the emergency services received through the 1962 Call Center will be handled from 2 PM to 5 PM. On Sundays from 8 AM to 5 PM, emergency calls are handled through the 1962 call center. The public can contact the toll-free number 1962 for emergency treatment of animals.
