Erode Mayor warns DMK councillor severely

Erode Municipal Corporation 8th Ward DMK councilor Adhi Sridhar was severely warned by Erode Mayor Nagaratnam Subramaniam in the Municipal Corporation meeting on Monday. In his speech, he said no development work has been done for months in his ward despite repeated petitions. 

The ward is being ignored. The elected representative has no value. Even when he pointed out various shortcomings in the council meeting,  there was no response in the corporation meeting. Irked over his comment, the Mayor said that someone incited him and said that you are talking like this. 

Deputy mayor Selvaraj said the councillor along with some persons complained against me unnecessarily, though he attended repair works in a school wall collapse incident in his ward.  Following this there was a heated argument between the mayor, the deputy mayor and councilor. Following this, the Mayor came down from her seat and dais and went to the member's place and warned him sternly and asked him to speak like a ruling party councillor. Then others pacified her to go to her seat.
