Erode MP asks coop banks to help people more

Addressing at the 44th AGM of Erode District  Central Coop Bank, Erode MP KE Prakash  advised the coop  bank officials to help public more to improve the economy of the district further.
In his speech, he recalled that the late CM Kalaignar introduced the free power supply and crop loan waiver schemes which saved many farmers. Similarly, the CM MK Stalin 
waived Rs 1081 cr farm loan. 
Though the Centre waived the loans of corporates, it didn't help the ryots. 
The bigwigs get crores of rupees as loan in Nationalised banks but poor and downtrodden especially weavers and farmers highly depend on coop banks. So, the borrowers should repay the loan promptly. This year, 6 primary  agri coop banks were upgraded as urban coop banks (Nasiyanur, Lakkapuram, Veerappanchathram, Thindal, Midakurichi and Kavithalayam) in the districts. More such banks should come up. The coop banks should function on par with the nationalised banks.
