Ex-minister's assurance on housing facility to poor

Former minister and Komarapalayam MLA P Thangamani assured to arrange housing facility for 680 families under  government schemes and inform their hardship while living on the bank of Cauvery River to government authorities.

When the families suffered much due to floods in the river for the past one week  at Pallipalayam in his segment, he directed his party town secretary PS Velliangiri and functionaries to arrange facilities for their stay at the community halls in the town.

When he provided due relief to them 3 days back,  he inquired about the sites allotted to them during the previous AIADMK rule to all 680 families nearly 3 years back at Nayakkanpalayam, Kadachanallur, and  Mankaradu areas, near Pallipalayam and cautioned them if they did not use the sites allotted to them, the government would cancel their pattas. But, the residents told him that they didnot have enough fund to build houses. 

Besides, the area did not have basic facilities like, road, water and electricity. They  sought houses and necessary facilities there. Thangamani assured to do the needful.
