Final-year students from the Amrita School of Agricultural Sciences conducted a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) session in Sokkanur village as part of their Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) program. The initiative aimed to identify the key issues and challenges faced by the local farming community.
Farmers actively participated in the event, creating a daily calendar to depict their routine agricultural activities. The insights gained from this session will help students design and deliver targeted training programs and practical demonstrations to address the farmers' specific needs in the coming days.
This program was organised under the guidance of Dr. Sudeesh Manalil, Dean of the college, along with RAWE Program Coordinator Dr. Sivaraj and faculty members Dr. Sathyapriya, Dr. Priya, Dr. Boopathi, and Dr. Karthik Raja.
