Five state elections and Rahul's Yatra

Five state elections and Rahul's Yatra

The Karnataka State Legislative Assembly elections were held in a single phase on May 10 for all 224 constituencies. Counting of votes was held on May 13. In this, the Congress  won a huge victory by defeating the ruling BJP government and capturing more than the majority of seats. BJP is facing a big defeat here.
Currently, assembly elections have been announced in 5 states namely Telangana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram. Congress is in power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. BJP is in power in Madhya Pradesh, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (PRS) in Telangana and Mizo National Front in Mizoram.
BJP and Congress are going to conduct test of strength in three states namely Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. In Mizoram, there is competition between the ruling Mizo National Front, Congress and regional parties. There is going to be a three-way contest between the ruling PRS, BJP and Congress in Telangana.
In this situation, recently released polls predicted that the Congress would win the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Following this, the currently released opinion poll suggests that the Congress party will take over the government in Telangana state as well.
Following this, the poll results conducted by Big TV have also been released. It is said that the Congress party will form the government for the first time in Telangana. According to the poll results, the Congress party will get 62 to 69 seats while the current ruling party PRS will win only 46 to 54 seats.
Polls reveal that Rahul Gandhi's Jodo Yatra has made a big impact in Telangana, where the Congress party was not much talked about until a few years ago.
Congress leader Kharge had already said that Rahul's yatra had created a lot of anti-BJP sentiment across the country..
In addition, there are reports that the promises made by the Congress in Telangana have turned the situation upside down. In this situation, Amit Shah, who was campaigning in Telangana, said that the BJP will take power there.
However, the main news is that Congress is winning in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Rahul's Yatra is the main reason for this.
This is a setback for the BJP!
