Former Minister RB Udayakumar elected as deputy opposition leader

AIADMK legislature party has unanimously elected RB Udayakumar as deputy opposition leader. 

The post was held by former chief minister 
O Panneerselvam. Similarly, the party has elected Agri SS Krishnamurthy as deputy secretary. 

The post was held by Paul Manoj Pandian, a supporter of O Panneerselvam. The party had selected the members unanimously during the meeting held at Alwarpet in Chennai on Sunday, said the party’s interim general secretary Edappadi 
K Palaniswami in a statement on Tuesday. 
While Udayakumar is a MLA from Thirumangalam assembly constituency, Krishnamurthy is from Polur assembly constituency.   
Palaniswami had sent the recommendation letter to Tamil Nadu assembly speaker M Appavu.
