Former NMS office-bearers honoured

The former general secretaries of the National Missionary Society of India -- Rev Dr. Samuel Prabhakar, Rev Dr. William Thomas, Rev Dr. D. Suresh Rajan and Rev Christopher Vijayan -- were honoured at a function organised here recently. 
According to a press release from Mr. Johnson Chellappan, associate general secretary, Coimbatore area, NMS is the first indigenous missionary organisation to be formed by 17 young men filled with missionary zeal representing various denominations in 1905. 
It is the only missionary organisation to be recognised by the National Council of Churches in India.
