Fortified rice distribution started

Fortified rice distribution started  in ration shops in Erode district. In this connection, collector H Krishnanunni distributed pamphlets to create awareness among public. The program was held at the Erode Collector's office yesterday. He said, "In order to cure anemia and neurological disorders, rice enriched with essential nutrients will be provided in the ration shops under the National Food Security Scheme.  This rice contains nutrients including iron, folic acid, minerals and vitamin D-12'', he added.
