In a momentous ceremony at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center in Thiruvananthapuram, Prime Minister Modi proudly introduced the nation to the four distinguished Gaganyan astronauts, all esteemed achievers of the Indian Air Force. 
Group Captains Prashant Balakrishnan Nair, Angad Pratap, Ajith Krishnan (hailing from Tamil Nadu), and Wing Commander Subanshu Shukla have been officially designated to embark on India's inaugural manned space mission next year. 
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi remarked, "It brings me immense joy to present these four astronauts. They are not mere individuals; they represent the aspirations of 1.4 billion Indians venturing into the cosmos. Their names shall be enshrined in the annals of the 21st century's history."
Scheduled for launch next year aboard a space , these pioneers will journey to an orbit 400 km above the Earth's surface, conducting vital research over a three-day period before safely returning home. With this momentous endeavor, India joins the prestigious league of nations, including Russia, the USA, and China, in manned space exploration. As Prime Minister Modi aptly declares, the names of these four trailblazers will indelibly mark the pages of 21st-century history, heralding a golden era for India.
