Free medical camp on Leprosy

The Leprosy Mission’s Inclusive Empowerment Project and Momentum Routine Immunisation Transformation & Equity (M-Rite) Project conducted a Medical Camp, Disability management Camp and  Covid Vaccination Camp for people affected by leprosy and other disabilities at Chidambaram. Many specialists from Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Pondicherry and experts from Tamil Nadu Physiotherapy Doctors Welfare Association and All India Tamil Nadu Occupational Therapy Association attended.

Programme Manager Manivannan explained the organisation's activities. The camp was inaugurated by Sub Collector  Swetha Suman, who  provided self-care kits and computer-designed customised footwear to people affected by leprosy. Over 200 people got benefit. Dr Balamurugan of Government medical college Chidambaram, Shankar, Panchayat president,Pallipadai, and Ln.Elangovan took part in this event.
