GKNM Hospital launches advance CT Simulator and Neonatal ambulance service

GKNM Hospital inaugurated a state-of-the-art CT Simulator for radiation therapy and a neonatal ambulance service on March 29, enhancing its oncology and pediatric care facilities.
Anantha Raman, President – Head of Internal Audit, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., along with Dr. Ragupathy Veluswamy, CEO of GKNM Hospital, formally launched the new facilities. Officials from Kotak Mahindra Bank, GKNM Hospital's administration, and medical staff were present at the event.
The CT Simulator, supported by Kotak Mahindra Bank, enables high-precision radiation therapy planning with features like Beam's Eye View (BEV), virtual simulation, and 3D tumor imaging, ensuring minimal damage to healthy tissues.
Additionally, the neonatal ambulance, supported by Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited, is equipped with an incubator, ventilator, and advanced medical technology, allowing for the safe transfer of critically ill newborns from nearby districts.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Veluswamy emphasized the significance of these new additions, highlighting their impact on improving patient care. Raman reiterated Kotak Mahindra Bank's commitment to supporting vital healthcare initiatives.
With these advancements, GKNM Hospital continues to strengthen its position as a leader in specialized medical care, ensuring better treatment outcomes for both oncology and pediatric patients.
