G Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial (GKNM) Hospital, in collaboration with Children’s HeartLink and Mayo Clinic, USA, recently organised its fifth Masterclass on Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery. The event focused on Cone Repair techniques and the latest advancements in diagnosis, treatment, and technology in the field.
The masterclass brought together 40 delegates from across India, who gained insights from leading experts. Dr. Joseph A Dearani, Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at Mayo Clinic, USA, led the program, sharing his expertise through live demonstrations and case discussions. Other notable speakers included Dr. Nathan Taggart (Cardiologist, Mayo Clinic), Dr. Grace Atiaga (Intensivist, Mayo Clinic), Dr. Michael Nemergut (Cardiac Anaesthetist, Mayo Clinic), and Ms. Jackie Boucher (President, Children's HeartLink).
Dr. Vijayakumar, Director of Paediatric Congenital Heart Disease at GKNM Hospital, coordinated the event, while Dr. P Chandrasekar, Chairman of Cardiothoracic Surgery at GKNM Hospital, welcomed the dignitaries.
The conference provided an opportunity for participants to learn from global leaders in pediatric cardiac surgery, further strengthening GKNM Hospital’s collaboration with Mayo Clinic.
