GKNM Medical Research Institute and Outpatient Centre (iOP) celebrated its first anniversary today with a vibrant and heartfelt event. The occasion was graced by dignitaries, the administrative team, consultants, and staff members, all coming together to commemorate a year of excellence in medical research and patient care.
As a symbolic gesture of growth and progress, the entire GKNM iOP team released balloons into the sky, signifying their commitment to innovation, compassionate healthcare, and continued service to the community.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Raghupathy Veluswamy, CEO, GKNM Hospital said that the milestone reflects the years of perseverance, planning and commitment to enhance patient care. He mentioned that a vision for the centre began in March of 2017 when the board of trustees approved the idea of constructing a dedicated outpatient facility.
Dr. Raghupathy in his address mentioned that all patients receive the care they need under one roof at the centre, ensuring seamless and comprehensive care. He added that over the past year, the facility has redefined outpatient care, providing not only conventional treatment but also integrated with alternate medicine, ensuring a holistic approach to wellness and treatment.
He stated that the centre’s focus extends beyond treatment, and that it is dedicated to preventive care, long term wellness and patient experience that fosters trust and healing.
He called upon the team at the centre to reaffirm the commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and patient care.
GKNM iOP has been serving more than 1200 patients every day since its inception last year. The outpatient centre offers a diverse portfolio of specialized outpatient clinics, including Menopause Clinic and Diabetic Foot Clinic, which are staffed by experienced medical professionals.
